Signing in to MED e-care: updated login steps
We are making a small change to the way you sign in to MED e-care. The update improves the security of your login and lays the groundwork for future enhancements, including support for Single Sign-On (SSO), which will make it even easier to access MED e-care alongside other systems your organisation uses.
What's changed
Previously, Short Name, Username, and Password all appeared on a single screen. The password field has now moved to a second step. You will enter your Short Name (optional) and Username first, then continue to enter your password on the next screen.

How to sign in with the new flow
Step 1
Enter your username and select Continue. You can also enter a Short Name if you have one previously saved on the device. This is optional and works the same as before.
Step 2
The username you entered will be displayed for confirmation. Enter your Password, then select Sign In. If your username doesn't look right, select the link below the Sign In button to go back and start over.
Everything else about signing in remains the same.
High Alert status now carries forward on medication refills
When a medication order has been marked as High Alert, that status will now automatically carry over when the order is refilled or renewed, whether the refill comes from Add to MAR or directly from a pharmacy. You no longer need to re-apply the High Alert flag each time for Matched Orders.
The flag and alert type both persist to the refill. For facilities using Receive Orders, the High Alert status will also be visible during the receiving process.
