What's new — quick summary
- Stock audit: Better exports, date filtering, and cleaner handling of untracked items.
- Resident photos: Update a photo's review date without re-uploading. New photos get a 12-month review date automatically.
- Medication intelligence: Overdue PRN follow-up counts now only show overdue items.
- Nourish + MED e-care (integration customers): Admissions and discharges now sync more consistently with cleaner resident histories.
Stock audit improvements
Exports now include more resident detail
Exported stock audit reports now include resident name, chart number, and key audit details. Empty fields are also handled more cleanly in the export.
New date range filter for audit history
A new date range filter (up to 3 months) lets you quickly narrow audit history to the period you need.
Cleaner handling of "not tracking" items (setting dependent)
In the audit history grid, items marked "Not Tracking" will now show the Not Tracking tag instead of On Hand and Variance figures. These items are also no longer counted in the items with variance totals.
Stock audit option visible to all authorised users
The "Enable Stock Audit" option in eMAR is now visible to all users with the appropriate permissions.
Resident photos: easier review date management
You can now update a photo's review date directly without re-uploading the image. New photos will also get a default review date automatically.
Updating review dates on existing photos
Review dates can now be edited on any existing resident photo. This is available from:
- Resident profile
- eADT > Central Client Index
- eADT > Current Admissions
Default review dates for new photos
When a new photo is uploaded without a review date, MED e-care will automatically set one to 12 months from the upload date. You can update this at any time without replacing the photo.
This also applies to photos updated through partner integrations. If the integration does not include a review date, MED e-care will set or keep the existing one automatically.
Medication intelligence: more accurate overdue PRN counts
The "Overdue PRN follow-ups" count in Med Intelligence now only shows items that are overdue. Future-scheduled follow-ups are no longer included.
Nourish + MED e-care: clearer admission and discharge workflows
When a resident's status changes in Nourish, MED e-care will now respond more consistently, reducing duplicate histories and accidental discharges.
Admission and discharge date protection
- Nourish admission dates are only used when creating a brand-new resident in MED e-care. They will not overwrite existing admission dates.
- Safety checks ensure admission dates are never before the previous discharge, and discharge dates are never before the current admission.
- If a Left/Archived status in Nourish has no leave date, MED e-care will use the current date and time for the discharge.
Suspended and enrolled statuses
If a resident's status in Nourish is updated to Suspended or Enrolled while they are already admitted in MED e-care, no action will be taken. The existing admission stays in place.
If the resident is physically away from the home, use the Leave of Absence function in MED e-care to record this.
Discharge behaviour
MED e-care handles discharge updates from Nourish consistently:
- If a resident is pre-admitted in MED e-care and marked as Left or Archived in Nourish, the pre-admission will be cancelled.
- If a resident is admitted in MED e-care and marked as Left or Archived in Nourish, a discharge will be created as expected.
- Future leave dates will not trigger a discharge. Discharges only happen when the leave date is on or before today.
