Some of our pharmacy partners are now able to use our Care Home to Schedule feature. Your pharmacy will send items as “Care Home to Schedule” or “CHTS” when they do not have clear schedules or instructions from the GP.
Receiving Care Home to Schedule (CHTS) items
Items sent by your pharmacy as ‘Care Home to Schedule’ will display on the receive orders page with the acronym ‘CHTS’ in the schedule column
You will be unable to receive the 'CHTS' items without applying a schedule to the medication based on the prescription and/or your resident's requirements
We recommend that you always use the VALIDATION function before you apply a schedule to this order to compare the new order against what the active prescriptions and schedule being used for your resident.
You must apply your own schedule to the CHTS order if it has been flagged as NEW, this means that the system cannot detect any active orders of the same medication on your resident's Medication Profile. A 'CHTS' order will have no schedule at all so you will be required to set the full schedule from the EDIT ORDERS window.
Depending on your facility's policy, you may be required to have a second signature to save the edit.
Where possible, it is encouraged that you always communicate time changes with your pharmacy. Items sent with the Care Home to Schedule flag should be limited to those items without a clear time prescribed by your GP.
